David Holt Ph.D, Director
Trained in comparative and international politics of the Middle East, Dave has researched and written on the Arab-Israeli conflict and ethnic politics in Israel while living in the region. He maintains a continued interest in Christian perspectives on conflict resolution in the region.
MESP Assistant Director and MESP Intern
Dr. Holt is assisted by Assistant Director Diaa Nashed and a Program Intern who provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support to MESP students. Prior to arriving at MESP in spring of 2003, Dr. Nashed practiced medicine for two years before deciding to exercise his gifts of administration by returning to higher education, earning a Masters degree at the top of his class, and joining MESP.
Arabic Language Instructors
Nahed Awny, Madiha Moheldin, and Nahed Rashad, all with extensive experience as faculty at the American University in Cairo (AUC), are the three language instructors with formal training in teaching Arabic as a second language. Ms. Awny is author of the textbook used by our students.
